Fighter Verses-- We continue the Fighter Verses Scripture Memory program this year.  Make sure to pick up a 2025 Bookmark which gives tips for Scripture memory and our verse for each week.  Memorizing Scripture is a great way to deepen your faith and grow in your discipleship in the new year.  

ANGEL TREE- *Very Important--If you took an Angel from the Angel Tree last Sunday, please sign your name on the list by the tree to indicate which child you took! There are a few names left on the Angel Tree.  If you take one of the remaining names, please sign the list to let us know which name you took.  The names indicate the gifts that the child wants, and the price range for buying the gifts is $50-75.  Please return all gifts by next Sunday,        Dec. 14.  Gifts may be place on the pew outside the church office.  Thank you!

(Carried over from Nov. 30)  Donations may be given for 5th Sunday     Holston Childrens Home offering and may be placed in the white basket on the altar.  Reminder, the Children’s Home is no longer affiliated with the  UNITED Methodist Church.  Thank you for your donations.

Hospitality Team Members (Patti McPeek, Debbie Kinder, Lorrie Coe Meade, and Gay Hawkins), please stay for a brief meeting after the 11:00 am service.  We will discuss bringing soups to some of our shut-ins as a special gift this December.  Congregation Members and Attendees-- If you’re interested in making a pot of soup to bring to our shut-ins, please contact Patti McPeek at 740-512-6346, or see one of the other Hospitality Team members.

CHRISTMAS CARD BAGS are available to the congregation upstairs in the Fellowship classroom starting now and continuing through Dec. 21- save your stamps and place cards in the labeled bags. 

Monday, December 8 & Wednesday, December 10 - Choir Practice, 6 p.m. Extra choir practices Mon., Dec. 15, & Wed., Dec. 17 in preparation for our Cantata on Sun., Dec. 21. 

 NURSERY WORKERS NEEDED!  We need 4 additional people to        volunteer for nursery.  We have 4 volunteers already.  With 8 people, volunteers would only serve once per month. Please consider serving in this vital ministry.   Volunteers are required to submit to a background check, paid for by the church. Please see our Nursery Director, Katy Porter (or call at 620-6317), if you are willing to serve.  

Agape Food Donations

We are looking for Spaghetti Sauce & Peanut Butter this month. The basket is available in the Narthex for food donations. PLEASE NO GLASS CONTAINERS

Agape is now collecting plastic grocery bags and you may leave them in the Narthex beside the food donations.
